Brad is a certified SCUBA dive master. That means he's allowed to help teach future SCUBA divers. He also believes that it allows him to wear very very loud shirts and bathing suits. He thinks he embarrasses his daughter by doing this, but she really doesn't care. Her mother has done worse and she has learned how to ignore her. It really isn't that much of a leap to ignoring the loud shirts.

Rumor has it in his company you have to be a SCUBA diver to work in his division. In reality he really wants everyone he knows to learn to SCUBA dive so he can have a dive buddy when his daughter doesn't want to go, or is in school.
