Our Deer Valley Tree

A major storm rolled through our favorite summer destination, Deer Valley YMCA camp, and took down a bunch of trees, or damaged them so severly that they had to be taken down for saftey. In an attempt to reforest -and have the project pay for itself- Deer Valley families could plant their own tree, for a price.

You couldn't choose the tree -or it's location- but you could dig in real dirt and plant a sapling (in our case an oak), and visit it year after year. We haven't been very good about visiting it, as you can see with the lack of images below. Nonetheless it is still there, and growing.
