Mopus Bridge
The Bridge over the River Mopus

The 1996 summer project of the Roscoe family.

The previous bridge was just a board crossing the brook where the bank wasn't to steep. After getting tired of speed running the lawn mower on only 2 of it's wheels across it, and the success of the shed, Brad decided he was going to make a proper bridge.

He picked a location where the banks where steep and the wild grapevine grew thick. The Plan: to make a trellis bridge that the vines (and Donna's new Trumpet plant) could cover, and that the lawnmower could cross.

Conscripting help in the form of Donna's brother (Pucky), who had previously helped with the shed, brought out the heavy machinery (rented fron Home Depot) and drilled the supports. Once those where poured and set, the rest of the family chipped in.
